Abstract：In order to separate buildings from the point of a large number of LiDAR point data, and obtain the planar characteristics, this paper put forward an airborne LiDAR point cloud data plane feature extraction method based on the traditional Hough transform ideas, using a combination of plane information and Hough transform algorithm regional growth in three-dimensional space to extract features from point cloud data. The results show that the method can effectively extract the plane characteristics of point cloud data, and after the plane characteristics of buildings are detected, it can contribute to completion of the automatic modeling for buildings.
