Abstract：To enhance the anti-impact performance of hydraulic columns, prevent and control the rockburst in coal mine effectively, or to a certain extent, and reduce the losses caused by rockburst accident，this paper put forward a type of diameter expanding energy absorption components combined with hydraulic column. The energy absorption and anti-impact properties of components were studied by using the software ABAQUS. The results showed that the diameter expanding components of different size and material has excellent stability and reproducibility deformation and failure modes of reproducibility. Size, material and impact velocity do not have any effect on the deformation and failure modes of reproducibility of the components. The diameter expanding components has a constant reaction force in the process of compression. Size, material and impact velocity does not have any effect on force - displacement change rule of the component. The diameter expanding anti-impact component has a smaller load fluctuation coefficient and higher stroke efficiency. The diameter expanding anti-impact component is an ideal energy absorption and anti-impact component. Using it with the existing conventional hydraulic column, force condition of hydraulic columns under impact load can be improved by the force of the impact load when the post, which strengthens pillar drawing performance, enhances the anti-impact performance of hydraulic columns.
