Abstract：For the demand of single-phase photovoltaic grid-connected inverter generator system to the leakage current of grid-connected inverter without transformer structure, a new high efficiency and low leakage current neutral point clamped inverter topology was presented by theoretical analysis and simulation methods. This new topology consists of two parts which are DC side split capacitor stabilized voltage unit and NPC topology clamped inverter unit. The right combination of these two units can make points A and B clamped at Udc without fluctuation and thus can reduce the leakage current and the fluctuation of common mode voltage. The results show that the fluctuations of the common mode voltage and the content of leakage current are reduced through this structure. This study effectively solved the problem of leakage current of the traditional structure.
