Abstract：Aiming at the problem of efficiency and precision by ATR and artificial observation in deformation monitoring, this paper used the polar coordinate method, and made comparison of the traditional manual observation and automatic measurement by total station of high precision TM30 measurement robot. Artificial observation is of many errors, and it is difficult to run up to 3mm which is accuracy of second class deformation observation. But it is easy for the TM30 measurement robot. The research results show that the efficiency of TM30 is 3 times better than that of the artificial observation, and the precision of TM30 measurement robot ATR is higher than artificial observation. Comparison of automatic observation for TM30 measurement robot and manual observation under the same situation, this paper obtained the qualitative results for TM30 measurement robot ATR function.
