Abstract：In order to control the dust diffusion at coal conveyer belt tailpiece in the coal preparation plant, it is necessary to simulate dust particle motion at coal conveyer belt tailpiece and the distribution of dust concentration in the working space by means of the relevant mathematical method. According to the gas-dust-liquid multiphase flow theory, the dust particle movement rule was simulated, and the dust concentration diffusion rule was understood at the coal conveyer belt tailpiece. The simulation results was validated by the actual testing data. Thereby, the air-driving shooting-fog dust control plan was put forward for the coal conveyer belt tailpiece. And the dust controlling technical parameters were determined. The result shows that the pollution comes from the dust adhering to the tailpiece surface, and the centrifugal force and the wind shear stress cause the dust spreading around. The prerequisite of dust control is to seal the tailpiece. The air-driving shooting fog diffuses to form the fog pool in the seal cover. Thus, the dust is effectively caught and quickly falls down in the saturated moist air condition.
